Main Stream History

Main Stream Canoe was started in 1975 by two brother, Jack and Joe Casey. At first they operated out of the back of a pickup truck delivering canoes and people to the Farmington River. Soon afterward Jack Casey took over the business and expanded the operation. Safety has always been first with Main Stream. For their larger groups they provided "safety patrols" along the Farmington. In ---- they started offering classes. In ------ they moved to the banks of the Farmington River on Route 44 in New Hartford.
